Magou is from Senegal, here with his superb band, Dakar Transit, of Baye Diop (guitar) Dr. Ada and Samson Gassama (percussion, Badou Sene (talking drum) Tata Dindin (kora) and Diatou Hardiata (vocals) he sings with passion of his love for Africa and demands debt relief and an end to exploitation. There's a certain rasp to his voice that when added to the music and the message gets the spine tingling and the foot gyrating. Very good. Graham Radley
