The Rhythmtree is a three day camping festival on the Isle of Wight with non-camping day tickets available on Saturday and Sunday.
The event offers day and evening entertainment on three stages in a beautiful rural setting not far from the island's main ferry terminals.
Ticket price £75 adult three day with free parking and camping.
Reduced price vehicle ferry crossings available with tickets bought from Red Funnel Ferries.
Whilst having to promote itself as a 'world music' event the Rhythmtree is really defined by its wish to showcase artistic experimentation and fusions of world music genres.
With over 60 acts confirmed for the week-end of the 24-26th of August the Rhythmtree is all set for its third year as one of the best loved small festivals on the Isle of Wight.
Headlining artists with real world music pedigree such as Skip 'Little Axe' McDonald, Diabel Cissokho and Ramon Goose, Vieux Farka Toure, Dele Sosimi, Harare, Kadialy Kouyate, Grupo Lokito, Colin & the Crawfish, and Congo Di Ntotila the organisers believe this little event is already becoming a real gem in the UK’s world music festival calendar.
Mixing in African, East European Cajun, Zydeco,Roots, folk and Blues from Skip McDonald, and Phil Henry and Hannah Martin, the main Rhythmtree stage will provide unbelievable value for a £75 adult week-end ticket.
The Rhythmtree has maintained a philosophy of including unfamiliar sounds for its growing, always enthusiastic, and loyal audience who seem to revel in experimenting with their own musical tastes. The event therefore hosts such artists as didgeridoo, jaw harp and beatbox trio AIRTist, The Perch Creek Family Jug Band with their one-legged saw player, overtone singer and multi world instrumentalist Jonny Cope, ukulele rap from the Ouse Valley Singles Club ,Muha, PLUS as well as all these great bands they have the Rhumba RumBar DJ Big Tent with probably one of the UK Largest World Music Fusion DJ line up you will ever see, just check out this page and turn your speakers UP Here
